Former Yugoslavia Balkn Group is registered in the public registers in Broennoesund with organization number 929 293 894.

The annual meeting for 2022 was held on 15 April 2023. In this period 6 bord meetings have been held on Zoom.

An election was held and the result was as follows:

In December 2023, a letter was received from the Deputy Chairman, Geir Asbjoernsen, that he

wanted to resign from his position. This due to helth reasons, and therefore a preliminary change

was made in the composition of the board which will later be dealt with at the annual meeting

2023/2024 on 11 April 2024.

This meant that Jan Helge Kalvik is now appointed as Vice-Chairman. He stepped down from his

position as secretary and was temporarily replaced by Knut Flovik Thoresen. This was carried out

in collabortion with the election committee representative Erik Enis dokken.

Erik Ennis Dokken from the election committee informed about proposals for the composition of

the new board after the Annual Meeting 2023/2024.

Status is that Arne Gerrit Halvorsen remain as the Chairman for another year following the

recommodation of the election committee. He is up for election every year.

Deputy Chairman Geir Asbjoernsen resigns as Jan Helge Kalvik acts in his position until the Annual

Meeting on the 11. April 2024.

Knut flovik Thoresen acts as secretary as a result of Jan Helge Kalvik acting as

vice-chairman and will be pointed to this function from the Annual Meeting 11 April 2024.

Rune Steen wants to resign as treasure, he is out of the position. Here is a need for FYBG to have a

new person into this position. Arne Gerrit Halvorsen takes care of the practiclities until a new

person is in place.

Board member Tom Johansen wishes to continue in the position and will be proposed.

Board member Trond Andreassen wants to resign and Søren Marenus Dickman (DK) has been

proposed as a new board member.

Deputy members of the board Kurt Andreas Skog and Terje Bergiton Rydeng wish to continue.

Rune Steen is interested in joining the board as a deputy member.

In 2022 an application was send to the airliner company www.norwegian.no to be registrated as

Corporate Customer for members of Former Yugoalavia Balkan Group

It was accepted and then each member can create their personal profile with Norwegian. The

aggreement code is FORMERYGO with password 2PXDHepF120. Then a discount will be given,

repectively on Low Fair and Flex tickets, and there are no restrictions on the detinations.

At the board meeting 12 October 2023, it ws announced that a Reference Group has been

established for quality assurance for the work to be carried out. The choice fell on Knut Flovik

Thoresen as leader and administrtor with his experience from the Armed Forces and as an author.

Jacob Børresen retired flag commander, senior consultant in military theory, defence security

policy, secretay to Minister of Defence and NATO HQ. Aase Thomassen as a politicl scientist and

author. Kjell Arne Johannessen with experience from the Norwegian Armed Forces both national,

internationl and historical competence.

Personnel will be needed to interview members when the need arises. The intellectual property law

protect the copyright to intellectual property and protects the origin of the individual’s contribution

to the process of Former Yugoalavia Balkan Group.

Initially we ha been presented on the website www.balkangruppen.no, but on the board meeting 12

June 2023 it was decided that Jan helge Kalvik will prepare a group on Facebook with the name

Balkangruppen FYBG. By this it will be possible to apply for membership in the group. Arne

Gerrit Halvorsen and Jan Helge Kalvik will take care of any approval for member.

The Chairman has been in contact with the Norwegian bank DNB to set up a company account. It

is now in order and the account number for Former Yugoslavia Balkan Group is now in DNB

Nettbank Bedrift 1506 88 94295 and with Vips number 803584. For the foreign members you have

to use IBAN: NO6315068894295

Until further notice the Chairman has administrative rights to this account.

Introduction of a quota for Former Yugoslavia Balkan Group has been discussed and there was

agreement on a quota of Nokr 250. It will be introduced from 2024, and has now been sent out to

Norwegian members for the time being. The response has so far been moderate so that a reminder

must be sent out. For the time being, the Chairman has moved out ahead in order to maintain

operations and it amounts to Nokr 3385 for the time being.

Deputy Chairman Geir Asbjoernsen has been in a meeting with the Secretary General of NVIO

(Norwegian Veteran International Operations). The subject for the meeting was to reach out to

UNPROFOR veterans for recruitment to Former Yugoslavia Balkan Group (FYBG). NVIO has also

offered to market FYBG on its platforms. In that respect, it was agreed to make FYBG as well

known as possible to relevant members.

At the board meeting on 1 February 2024, Attache Dag-Magne Lunde at the Royal Norwegian

Embassy in Belgrade briefed on the political developments in his area of responsebility. It concerns

Montenegro, Serbia, North-Macedonia and Bonia about the development, the security situation and

bilateral cooperation Norway has with the various countries with focus on defence situation. He has

agin offered a new briefing on Thursday 4 April 2024 at 1800 – 1900 hrs.on Teams. This was

conducted in Norwegian language, and he will be asked to conduct one in English.

The Chairman received an invitation from the Armed Forces Veteran Inspector to participate in the

Balkan celebration at Akershus Fortress Friday 26 April 2024. He has signed up and hopes that

more members will do the same. In this context, an aplication was sent to the Armed Forces Veteran

Inspector to arange a presentation of Former Yugoslvia Balkan Group, on 15 March 2024 a replay

was received rejecting the appliction.

The Chairman received an invitation from the Armed Forces Veteran Center (FVS) to take part in a

reunion for UNPROFOR/HQ/Ops.avd. NORMOVECON V and VI. It will be carried out in the

period 18-20 June 2024. The reunion will take place in its intirely at the Norwegin Armed Forces

veteran center at Baereia in Kongsvinger. The Armed Forces Veteran Center covers the expences for

travel and accommodation. Registration will be sendt from Chairman within the deadline 5 May

2024.

During this period there has been regular communication between the board members to maintain

operation in the best interests of Former Yugoslavia Balkan Group. The association currently have

49 members, and during this period 4 members have resign.
